Where do your Coronado paddleboard rentals, tours, and lessons launch from?
We launch primarily from Tidelands Park in Coronado on San Diego Bay. Meeting details are sent after booking. Some experiences may vary based on wind, weather, and the type of lesson or event.
Do I need paddleboarding experience?
No. Our Coronado paddleboard rentals, tours, and lessons are beginner-friendly. If it’s your first time on a paddleboard, we recommend booking a lesson or guided tour so we can help you feel comfortable on the water.
What should I wear for a paddleboard rental, tour, or lesson?
Wear comfortable activewear or swimwear that can get wet. We recommend sun protection, water, and clothing appropriate for the weather. If you’re joining an ocean lesson or a cooler-weather session, we may recommend additional layers or a wetsuit.
Will I get wet?
You should expect to get at least a little wet when paddleboarding. On bay rentals and tours, most guests stay mostly dry aside from stepping into the water to launch. For lessons—especially ocean lessons—you’re more likely to get wet.
What is the best time of day to paddleboard in Coronado?
Morning and sunset are often the best times to paddleboard in Coronado because the wind is usually calmer and the bay is more enjoyable to paddle. Conditions can vary daily based on weather and tides.
Can I bring my dog on a paddleboard rental?
Yes—well-behaved, water-friendly dogs are welcome on certain paddleboard rentals as long as they’re comfortable on the board. If you plan to bring your dog, let us know in advance so we can help match you with the best setup.
What should I bring with me?
Bring water, sunscreen, a towel, and anything else you’d want for time in the sun. Sunglasses, hats, and lightweight layers are also a good idea, but we recommend securing valuables if you bring them on the water.
